David P. Ward - Former Border Patrol Officer

David P. Ward is a Director with the National Association of Former Border Patrol Agents, an organization of former Border Patrol Supervisors and Managers, which advocates secure borders and interior immigration enforcement. Retiring in 2009, David has over 33 years field experience with the US Department of Homeland Security and US Border Patrol, as an agent and field manager of enforcement operations. David also acted as: Commander of the El Paso Sector, Emergency Response Team, Search and Rescue Incident Commander for the New Mexico State Police, Assistant Agent in Charge of the U. S. Border Patrol’s Santa Teresa, NM Station, and Resident Agent in Charge of the ICE Office of Investigation in Provo, Utah. His experience is unique in that it covers both Border Security issues and Interior Enforcement.

David joins the show to discuss border safety and illegal immigration; some of our topics include the daily life of a border patrol agent and the violence, how items and people come across the border, why people are illegally crossing the border, Syrian Refugees and so much more. He also gives solutions on how to make the borders safer, whether to build a wall or not, how we can discourage illegal immigration and policy reform solutions. David gives a very interesting perspective into the world of border security that most people never have the opportunity to explore. On top of all of that, former agent Ward is also an expert in human tracking and shares some of his secrets of tracking down people along the border.
